If you are reading this message, you have successfully downloaded the CB app. And for that we applaud you. It has been a 2-year struggle to develop this app with a company in New Delhi, India. We have already begun the process of developing the next version of the app, that will be built here in the US. It will be superior to our first version. We are looking for funding now and hope to have the new app completed by Spring 2019.
Because it took so long to complete the app, we thought it wise to get it out onto the market as soon as possible. So, we pre-launched the app in March in the Google & Apple stores. Our plan was to start out in Portland OR (Home) and advance outward on the West Coast, before turning East. That is not what has happened. People like you have found CourierBuddy on your own, representing 12 States and counting. From California to Maryland and from Washington State to Florida.
Needless to say, our plans have changed. Now, in August, we are introducing our Ambassador Gold Program. You, couriers, who have or will have signed up, downloaded the app, and submitted pictures of required credentials (driver license or photo ID if not driving motor vehicle, proof of insurance, and business License if required by local regulations). The Ambassador program provides couriers who have downloaded the CB app and submitted their credentials, on or before August 31, 2018, a 5% reduction of the CB transaction fee, from 20% to 15%.
A courier downloading the app before August 31, 2018 and who does a minimum $100.00 will maintain the 15% rate for three months or until November 30, 2018.
Couriers who also recruit 3 or more shippers who download the app and do 1 (one) job each of business using the app, will maintain the 15% transaction fee for an additional 2 (two) months or until January 31, 2019. Happy New Year!
Because Ambassadors are the first to use the app, you will be entitled to quarterly specials, discounts on food, travel and products. Also, reductions of transaction fees for future work. CourierBuddy may be just getting started, but we have big plans and it is important that we take care of you. You are authorized to do business right now. When we receive, process and qualify your credentials, you officially join the Ambassador program. We will send you CB decals and other marketing info and materials.

Recruiting Shippers: #1
Recruiting shippers in your local area is the most important thing that you can do to build your business. It is hard work but in order to make money in the courier business it is most necessary.
Make a list: Put together a list of the businesses that you are familiar with. Your veterinarian, lawyer, dentist, nursing home, retailers, restaurants, boutiques, dry cleaners, auto part and any establishments that need on-demand, same day, pickup and delivery service.
Work the list: Visit, call, email and anything you can do to get in front of the decision maker. Use business cards with CB logo and your phone number and email address. We are not Uber or Lyft and you don’t work for CourierBuddy. You are an IC, Independent Contractor. This is your business.
Make contact: Once contact is made, explain that the app is the point of contact between them and available, vetted, local couriers, like you, in the area.
Close: Closure comes when they have successfully downloaded the app. This should be the easy part only if you know what you’re doing. Before you ask a potential User to download the app, have a friend or family member download it and sign in as a “Shipper” in the app. Role play. Have them Post a Job, you accept for $1.50 and follow the prompts to the end of the job and payment. Take your time and repeat until you are comfortable with the process. Be ready: Have a clean car. Wash regularly and make sure the trunk is clean and available for delivery items. Dress well, casual but neat. You can be the best delivery person, but if you don’t look the part, clients will not use you again. Remember, they are your clients and if they are happy with you and the service you provide, they will refer you to others. There will come a time that other couriers will enter your area. Competition is good. It means there is more available business for all. Recruit other drivers from, Uber, Lyft, Grub Hub, taxi and other delivery providers. The more shippers the more drivers needed, the more couriers the more shippers will utilize the app.
